What art is continually changes as it is dependant on context for meaning. That is why what one person considers art may be very different than what some one else considers to be art. Our minds are our context.
In a wider context an object is accepted as art by the context of the viewers' minds. Art may be produced with conscious awareness or unselfconscious awareness of this larger context and various levels of self consciousness in between.
